President's Message

Greetings to NCASCC Members and Other Interested Persons:

Welcome to the NCASCC Website!

Greetings are being extended not only to current and former members, but to all interested individuals.

Our organization’s membership consists of persons aged 55+ who strive to stay involved, interactive and, ‘in touch’ with like-minded individuals and with their communities at-large.

NCASCC has survived the lean and stressful times of the Covid pandemic over the last few years. We managed to do this by: taking the necessary health precautions; by adapting to new ways of connecting with each other through teleconferences and ‘Zoom’ meetings; and, by (doing what seniors do best) adjusting to a changing world with focus and determination.

We continue to stay ‘in-tune’ through technological literacy, being active in our communities, travel, and having as many social interactions as time and finances will allow.

At the start of 2023 we will once again have our District and State quarterly meetings and our yearly State Conference. We are all excited about our return to former activities!

Some NCASCC members are retired but you would never guess that by their busy schedules. Our members are not typically ‘rocking chair seniors’ but are very active and contributing members to society.

As you reflect on the individuals that comprise our membership remember the contributions we have already made, the things we have already done and the impact we are still making.

Finally, to our members and all other seniors – in the words of Martin Luther King Jr. “If you can’t fly then run. If you can’t run, then walk. If you can’t walk, then crawl. But whatever you do. You must keep moving Forward””. And, in the words of C.S. Lewis “You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.”
